I woke up this morning, brewed a cup of coffee, ate a bowl of cheerios, and sat down to do my leisurely weekend web browsing. Through clicks, searches, and shares, I found myself at a favorite website, Gizmodo. The front page featured an incredible TED talk about multiverses. 20 minutes later, I found myself re-charged with new daunting, eye-opening information. I decided to head over to Apollo Run [dot] com to share this video, along with 4 other nuggets of interwebawesomeness. Enjoy, folks.

Greene’s enthusiasm for the subject of multiverses is infectious.

Tracy K. Smith’s ‘Life on Mars’ just won the Pulizter Prize for poetry. From her interview with Kurt Anderson on Studio 360, Smith explains “I am interested in using language and having fun with what it can do and what it can create, but using it as a tool to get toward understanding and insight. And if I am thinking about something that is mysterious or difficult or complex, I like when the language can be as transparent as possible just to make way for the larger thing.” Same here, Tracy.

Last week, Crash Override, Acid Burn, The Phantom Phreak, and Cereal Killer took to the web again to target yours truly. Those roller-blading, leather-wearing, cyber heros took our site under for a bit, but thanks to the incredible folks at Web Symphonies, we were up and running in no time.

Hey hackers, don’t get it twisted! We are not “The Plague.” We have no part whatsoever in a plot to overturn oil tankers. Settle down. That goes for you too, Lisbeth.

As a lot of you probably know, today is the first day of the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac. The Year of the Dragon is regarded as a year of luck, good fortune, and power. Today couldn’t have been a more appropriate day to reach our goal for the funding of our first full length record, ‘Here Be Dragons, Vol. III.’ With fans, friends, and family like you, we count ourselves the luckiest band. ‘Runners from around the world – We are excited as hell to announce that we have joined up with Pledge Music to help raise money for our debut LP, ‘Here Be Dragons, Vol. III!’

Two years ago, we created our first EP, ‘Here Be Dragons, Vol I,’ with the help of Pledge Music and our many wonderful fans. In Fall 2011, we released our second EP, ‘Here Be Dragons, Vol II.’ Now, we’re inviting Pledgers all over the world to help us record and release our debut full-length album, ‘Here Be Dragons, Vol III.’

Here’s how it works – click the widget above to find a list of “exclusives” that you can pledge for (on the right hand side of the Pledge page). In return for your monetary pledge, we will fulfill whatever that exclusive is. It’s so simple even a musician can do it! The pledged money will then go towards the recording of the new album, mastering and also promoting the album with a PR agency.

Many of these pledges will take time for us to fulfill. However, once you pledge, you’ll get IMMEDIATE access to Pledger-only content. This includes an unreleased song of ours (Annie Mae), plus updates from the studio and road, pics, videos and so much more. You’ll be a part of the Apollo Run inner circle and we have SO MUCH to share! Mwah hah!

Best of all, 25% of the pledge money raised (after we reach our goal) will go to Musicians On Call, a terrific organization that brings musical performances to patients in hospitals, many of whom are unable to leave their bed. Please help us support this wonderful charity.
